Long time gone.......

Ok so it has been a while since I posted about all of Josh's fun activities. He has become so very independent! You might think "oh how nice."  NOT. He takes it upon himself to OPEN every single thing he comes in contact with.  Yesterday he got into the fridge (No I still haven't gotten the fridge lock) and got out the Hershey's syrup. He filled a cereal bowl with it! He is constantly opening and eating all boxes, bottles, and bags. This means every cereal box is ripped open and the bag of cereal is missing, microwave popcorn bags are all over the house, yet I can't find them when I want to actually POP and eat one! He just ripped open a box of rice-a-roni and dumped it all over the floor, then to clean it up, he got the broom and shoved it under the stove! Awesome. He put his favorite stuffed talking teddy bear in the oven drawer when I was out of town and Jeff scorched it. So now when we turn the oven on, Josh will stand there and tell how "Scout" got burned and was crying (because it started talking while it was being burned alive). He loves to watch Curious George each morning and demands it to be turned on the instant he wakes up, even if it isn't time for Curious George to be on yet, (like 6:30am). He insists on sitting on the bathroom counter while I get ready in the morning, which would be fine except he wants to stand and get into everything on the counter. He always wants to go to Krogers or church every morning and will actually cry if I start driving towards home.He has started using some manners and will talk to people he knows when we go places. He is getting too big for his britches and will be 2 in a few weeks. He has eenb "calling" his girlfriend Lilly on the phone and have long talks with her. Including telling her she is pretty! I hope you are all faring well waiting for Spring. I can not WAIT for it to get here so I can get Josh outside! Good night and God bless!

THAT"S NOT YOURS

Josh has a playroom FULL of toys just for him. I think this would be awesome if I was a kid, but not my Josh. I went to put laundry in the dryer, when I came back to the living room, he had a bunch of Jeff's video games out and was reading the booklets that come with them. I was then in the bedroom picking out church clothes and as I was heading back down the hall, here comes Josh yelling something. I get to the dining room and see the fridge wide open and a bunch of condiments on the table. That is what he was yelling. Thankfully he didn't have them opened, like the other day when he poured Worcestershire sauce into a colander (which as you know is full of holes). It is raining here today and so he has been saying the rain is burning him and running through the slushy yard in his tennis shoes. UGH, What is it with kids and puddles? As you know he has been asking to go to church all week, well today was my bible study so off we went. Josh was super excited to go, until we got there. then he wanted to go to the store! He ended up enjoying his time and was very happy to come down and eat ALL the leftover snacks. He mad a mess with his poppy seed bread, so I got out the carpet sweeper. After I cleaned that up, Josh wanted a turn. So off he went vacuuming the halls and nursery. He is now turning on the xbox and yelling at the kinect to try and play something. He is a 10 year old in a 2 year old body! I might have to buy floor to ceiling fencing and fence him in his playroom! Don't worry I will add a small window so I can see him! Have a great rest of the week!

JOSH....

Josh has new and wonderful tricks! He picks out his own clothes! Today I was going to put his dinosaur hoodie on him, but then changed my mind. He did not want the new shirt I had chosen, he demanded to wear the dinosaur hoodie. He asks to go to church EVERY single day after we drop Brianna and Ian off at school and gets sad when I tell him it isn't a church day. He also likes to decide where we shop. I was talking out loud to myself in the car today trying to decide between walmart and Kroger and he choose walmart. He talked to me on the phone all weekend when I was out of town and he had a great time with Jeff and Ian. He is still climbing everything and has taken to dragging a chair to the counter and pantry to steal things or get food. He keeps opening the fridge to take eggs out, except these eggs are raw! Thankfully he hasn't dropped any yet. He sings songs in the car when we listen to the CD for the kids musical at church and reads books to himself. He is getting so big and will be 2 in less than a month! He has started slapping people and this is not too good, he also bit Anna today. Looks like the time out chair will get a lot of use. He is happy and healthy and handsome! What a blessing! Until I collect more stories, God bless!
