Summer so far with Josh

Well Summer has been in full swing for a month or so now and Josh has been enjoying it. His new neighborhood best friend is a man down the street with a cool remote control car. When Josh hears it start up, he runs outside without asking and goes down to watch it. I am sure this is the highlight of the neighbors day. (HA!) We went on a trip to dance nationals in WI for Anna and Josh asked are we there yet BOTH ways about 574 times. It was really wonderful. We left at an amazing time that caused us to get caught in rush hour traffic on a FRID
AY in Chicago. Well Josh had to go potty and we were parked on the freeway. So he got to piddle in a water bottle and thought that was pretty fun.
He got his first kiss on the cheek from Gabi at nationals after chasing her around the pool. When I asked him about Gabi he asked "why do you know me so well mom?" "Don't talk about it!" "I don't want Gabi to break up with me!" He has turned the hose on 700 times and wasted about one million gallons of water. He loves burnt hot dogs from he grill, swimming and getting wet and FINALLY got to play with his BFF Graham.
We had vacation bible school all week. He went with me Monday and wouldn't go with his group because Graham wasn't in it. Luckily Grahams mom is awesome and got them put together. So Tuesday and Wednesday he went with his own group. Thursday he stayed home and thought it was a good idea to pee on the floor because he got mad at Ian. That was really cool to come home and have to mop the whole house because they stepped in it and walked all over. BOYS UGH! Today he went and had fun also. This week while driving to VBS, I turned on the VBS music. Josh found this not so interesting and requested Volbeat. I asked him "who listens to Volbeat on he way to church?" He replied "This guy!"
He is enjoying his Summer and is still hopeful that he will get to have a sleepover at one of Brianna's girlfriends houses. He asked her 15 year old friend Chrissy if he could come over for a sleepover. She said "I will have to ask my mom." He is still cute, he is still fun, he is still 5 years old with a 13 year old attitude. We love him :) Happy Summer to you all. Love and blessings!

Summer Josh

HELLO! Josh is enjoying his Summer.
He has been enjoying the kids being home, but the feeling isn't always mutual. He scooters around with Ian and spends an amazing amount of time playing with the hose. He and I went for a walk the other day but he was too fast so I went home and got Ian's bike. Josh didn't feel too confident in my bike riding abilities and practically begged me not to ride it because I might fall down and get hurt! Fear not! I rode that bike like a pro and earned a good job momma from him. He has out of nowhere developed a fear of heights and tries to tell us EVERY night that he can't sleep in his bed (the upper bunk on a bunk bed) due to this fear. He is distraught every time the big kids are away at a sleepover because he is of the belief that he should be invited also. (As if 13 and 14year olds want a 5 year old around). Josh sings the alphabet song pretty well and also the Iggy Azalea "Fancy" song (he's so fancy, you already know ;)). I am pretty positive no 5 year old has a musical repertoire like mine. Today he and his brother got in a fight while I was a work because Josh spit on Ian, so Ian retaliated by pouring coffee creamer into Josh's fruit punch. This prompted Josh to throw it on my kitchen floor. So I had to mop it when I walked in and got stuck to the floor. Which I found most unpleasant. Things are going well this Summer and we are preparing to head out for a LONG car ride for Brianna's dance national's competition and Jeff and I are fervently hoping Josh can control his "she's hot!" comments at the water park since he is in love with every female and head over heels for all Brianna's friends! Wish us luck with the dancing, traveling, and controlling my 5 year old with a 15 year olds mouth!Have a beautiful Fourth of July and God bless America!
