Josh is getting older....

Josh as you know is 2 and he is ALL boy. Recently we have noticed that Josh is in love with Lady Gaga. Any upbeat song comes on the radio and he yells "GAGA". If it is a slower song playing he will yell 'GAGA" hoping to get us to change it! He is also a big fan of Cee Lo Greene's song, you know which one I mean. And yes, he only knows the edited version, but he does go around singing, "forget you". He spend many hours a day looking out the window at the geese or listening to see where that lawnmower sound is coming from. He has a new best friend. At the big kids school, he has found a great new "knuckle touch" buddy, Erich. He wants to see him everyday and runs to hug him. He talks about him at home and wants to get out of the car in the morning to find him. We went to the kids field day and Josh had fun in the bounce house and doing the limbo with the 5th graders. I feel like I spend ALL day chasing him and saying "no Josh, no Josh." He gets into everything, he opened Anna's door last night and painted his nails (which I have not yet removed and Jeff hasn't seen). Today he got my coffee pot down,so he could have some coffee. I am telling you, he is so fast. He runs off at every chance. He loves to be outside and ride his bike.He turns Ian's xbox on so he can play with Ian's friends. He loves Nascar and yells "go, go" at me when I am driving! Geez, just what I need a 2 year old back seat driver. Josh is healthy and happy and I pray you all are to. Until we meet again...

Loves the ladies

The other night Brianna and Ian had a choir concert. So off we went, we found some seats and saw people we knew from the school. A young lady we know in the 8th grade came over to talk to Josh. He was struggling in his stroller and twisting around. I thought what is he doing? Well what he was doing was trying to get to the camera behind him. What does a 2 year old want with a camera?? To take pictures of the 8th grade girl!!!! So he takes some pictures of her and then she goes back to sit with her friend. He then starts taking pictures of other teenage girls around us. Girls we don't even know!!! He looks at the kids singing on stage and starts yelling for Ian, except Ian isn't on stage yet AND he is loud. Other people can hear him. When the kids come on stage to sing, I start to video tape, Josh decides he will grab the chair of the woman in front of us and bang his stroller into it. I am videotaping and I try to grab his stroller and move him, then I realize I am videotaping the floor. SO my friend Addie takes my camera so I can get Josh settled.  He must be getting bored because now he starts yelling "DONE" Good grief, we are like a circus, Josh is taking pictures of teenagers, and yelling, and I can't stop laughing at him. Today we went to Brianna's dance competition and Josh was sleepy, so he was well behaved, it was very amusing however to see him "pop up"periodically when a girl walked by that he wanted to look at closer. Boy are we in for some trouble with that boy!! Good night, until we meet again!

Hungry and smart?

Well Josh is 2 going on 15. He has always loved the vacuum as you know, he NOW likes to take the cup off of it and empty it into the garbage. AWWWWW, super cute and helpful right? HA. He does this so that he can the turn it upside down and stand on it so that he can open the doors of the older kids bedrooms and the bathroom. He is really smart, but really  keeps going going all the time! He wanted some toasted fennel seed I guess , because he got onto the kitchen chair and took the spice bottle and dumped the whole thing into the toaster!
He has also decided he can drive. He always wants to sit in the front seat of the car and drive and gets upset when I put him in his car seat in the back. Like I said, he thinks he is 15. He went on a trampoline yesterday with the big kids and thought that was pretty cool. We went to the grocery store today and even though I said leave the blueberries alone, he still opened them and dumped the whole package on the floor. Thankfully I was only at Kroger and not Costco, so I only lost a pint of berries and not a years supply. When I was looking at fruit at the store, somehow he got a shallot( an onion) peeled it in the little car cart he was in where I couldn't see he had it and began to eat it, but of course it was "spicy" so he leaped out of the car cart and threw it down the aisle. I had to buy it of course, but it was only $.18. He is like the sneakiest little baby EVER. He can grab something without anyone even noticing! I will have to keep him out of best buy or we could end up in jail for stealing a kindle! Hope you are blessed with this fine weather. Until we meet again....

A new trick for Josh!

Well my friends, Josh has learned a NEW trick. We were at church the other day for a MOPS group meeting. I picked him up from the ladies watching him and we went to get a snack, he ate a few bites and then wandered away. I was unconcerned as he is at church a lot and know his way around. I strolled calmly back to the nursery to see if he was there, but he wasn't, still not concerned. I head back the other way when I see our cleaning lady running towards me she calls out "your baby is downstairs and he refuses to come back up with me!" so we jump in the elevator and ride down, I step off and he is no where to be seen and all is silent. I start calling his name and jogging around, I finally find him. Safe and sound. As always, I guess this is my fault! I have allowed him to push the buttons on different elevators, I never expected that he would go into one on his own and ride away! Josh was eating lunch the other day and I foolishly walked out of the room to change the laundry over and left the milk on the table. This made Josh feel like he could leap onto the table and pour himself a  glass, well of course he got WAY too much and it was dripping onto the floor, and as the very smart guy he is he tried to pour some back INTO the carton (without much success) A + for the thought though, I guess. !! Josh went to the zoo the other day but only was interested in seeing the geese, much to the dismay of his aunt who said, "I didn't bring you to the zoo to see geese!" He once again got a salt shaker and poured the whole thing into a bag of popcorn. (picture included below) He will intentionally make a mess and then come tell me"mess, mess" Not sure why, either to use the vacuum, or some cleanser, or some other crazy reason. He loves watching hockey GO RED WINGS!!! ( he even woke up the other morning and said "hockey" a change from his usual "George" (we watch curious George each morning before getting up.) He also loves Nascar. He loves music and dances a lot! He also commands the car radio stations, to my disbelief and annoyance! We happily announce he has given up his bottle!!!! Good night and God bless!

SPOILED

Okay, I have heard admitting the problem is the first step to recovery, right? Well then "I am Josh's mom and I SPOIL him.' I buy him food at the grocery store when he cries for it, I share all my junk food with him, and gasp, still let him have his bottle (filled with water) and hold him to put him to sleep. That's right, Josh can not fall asleep on his own. GOOD GRIEF, what have I done??? In the the last few days, Josh has continued his hourly fridge raid, gotten a new raincoat that he will NOT take off, spent hours looking out the window at the geese saying" hi goose, play me?" He has been enjoying riding his new bike and did clean up his puzzle twice, (only for a reward, one of which was hanging out with his aunt.) He was excellent at he doctors when I went for my check up today. It truly was amazing! I was washing dishes after our dinner tonight and when I looked over at the table, there was Josh! Was he eating? Was he looking at birds? Was he cleaning up the table? NO he was not. He had a small bag of flour and pured it all out. Then when I got the vacuum and told him he had to clean it, (keep in mind  he loves the vacuum) he told me NO. But at this very moment, he is lugging the vacuum around pretending to vacuum. WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME???? I do not know why I give him everything (within safety reasons). I must be insane, BUT I will fix this, I went to the library and got some books, soooo wish me luck that i can reverse the damage I have already done!!!!Enjoy the flour pictures!
