Last week Josh turned 2. he had a wonderful birthday party and his favorite toy is a truck that dances and plays "everybody dance now." He has moved from only wanting eggs to eat to now mostly wanting hamburgers to eat! The joys of toddler's meals! Josh got to help with the talent show at the kids school for the third year in a row. He did pretty good, since it required him to spend a LOT of time strapped in his stroller in the library at school He enjoyed watching the dress rehearsals but by the time our show rolled around, he had seen it enough, soooo he spent the show running the hallways of the school. Pulling a wagon around, eating pizza and finally crashing out in his stroller, (we were at school from 9 to 4) He did help clean up after lunch by getting the industrial push broom and sweeping the halls with it! Josh sent the 5th graders (including Brianna and Kara) off to camp. Upon their return at a lunch date with some kids a nd parents, Josh helped himself to food off of Erich's plate (Brianna's classmate, who had requested to hide Josh in his bag and take him to camp) Erich was very gracious and allowed Josh to eat his pancakes and bacon. Josh loves to be outside (which would be fine if the ground wasn't saturated) He loves to talk on the phone and tell people about his day. He also likes to pretend to leave messages for people. Especially Ian's friend Eli. He is always calling Eli, the other day he "left him a message" saying "SUP? call me call me" It was funny. He seems to have a fascination for Eli although I don't know why. I think he spends so much time with Eli, Kara, and Savannah that he thinks they are part of his family. I like that a lot! He has been enjoying filling a bowl with water and washing the cabinets, it is so cute. He love his cousin Jilly, they are only 6 months apart and have a great time together. I am so blessed with wonderful nieces and nephews! Josh wants a pet badly! If he sees a dog on TV he will cry and say "want it" "mine" There are geese in our yard and he wants them as a pet! He tries to look outside at them all time. He has discovered a new trick. We tell Josh the things that are ours, like the xbox, we tell him not to touch because it isn't his and is daddy's. So this led Josh to now get things, like my yogurt from the fridge, bring it to me half eaten and say "Josh's?" He thinks if he says it is Josh's then he is free to have it. I am enjoying all that he is saying and doing (for the most part) and am waiting to see what he will do next. Enjoy your weekend. God bless!
