JOSH STOP!!!

Josh is making me insane. He chases me when I vacuum so that he can vacuum, but WILL NOT pick up the puzzle he dumped on the kitchen floor. He got the open package of toilet paper while I was doing laundry, brought it to the living room and got a roll out. Why would he do that you might wonder. Could he be practicing to use the potty? NO, he is dipping it in a glass of milk and cleaning my cloth computer chair with it. He beat Ian with a baton today, colored himself with a window marker, took off his diaper and went outside in only a tshirt to take trash out to the curb. Let Brianna put his hair in a mohawk with hair paste, so now he has crispy hair. Wants to color, but won't use a coloring book, he wants to use Ian's school notebook and then rip out all the pages. Was watching the end of the movie Burlesque with Jeff and I  last night and drug his chair right up to the TV and when they finished singing and dancing, he burst into thunderous applause. But when we asked him if he liked it he said "no, boring" He is so tiny, but so loud. He runs around screaming most of the day. He pours the water OUT of the bathtub, thus ending his bath after like 2 minutes. The other night we couldn't find his and are calling his name and searching for him. We knew he was inside, we then found him sitting on our bed, under the sheet. He was "hiding." He at this very moment is sitting on his train/car table, just looking around. He shoots everyone with water guns, or spits water on them from the drink he just HAD to have. When does kindergarten start???

Josh has been getting more and more independent. He has been very trying to my patience lately.For example, he will now tell me to "stay" in the room while he goes off somewhere else in the house. He loves eggs as you know, well yesterday I made hard boiled eggs for our Cobb salad dinner, Josh got one out, peeled it and ate it before I could catch him. Then today he thought the raw eggs were not cooked and broke 3 of them on my kitchen floor. He dumped his tomato soup out on the table at lunch the other day so off to the time out he went. He did NOT like that at all. He has taken to hiding a lot, under sheets, under tables. He did enjoy catching fire flies with the big kids the other night and was making cute noises at them.  He adores the Veggie tales and likes singing "twinkle twinkle little star" That I DO smile at.  He  loves some goofy youtube videos the kids watch and will sing them. He also enjoys "Walk" by Pantera....(I have to admit he is cute when singing "Walk on home boy" but wonder how messed up it is that my 2 year old loves heavy metal) Hope you are all well, until next time.....

WHY??

So, we have been busy with end of the year /5th grade graduation stuff. This means I am at the school or running around A LOT. Josh is very comfortable at the kids school, so he will run around and see everyone. He has a "treat" affair with the school secretary, EVERY day we must go into the office so he can receive a treat from her, if she is out of stuff she will even go out at her lunch just to buy him something. While I was working in the library, Josh was checking books in that students had returned, but I can NEVER get him to pick up his own books! WHY?? Josh will eat anything someone else has but rarely eats his own food off his plate. WHY?? He always wants to go outside so when I take him he then spends all his time getting into the grill utensils or the shed. WHY?? He wants to go in the sprinkler, so I turn it on, but then all he does is pick it up and chase me or the kids with it. WHY?? He asks for a snack, so I give him one. He then either hides it somewhere around the house or throws it at people. WHY?? He wants to play with his brother and sister, but then does crazy stuff like SPIT at them. WHY??  He wants to sit in the cart at he grocery store with the car on the front but then will NOT stay in it! WHY?? He loves all the girls at the school, he even calls them his girlfriends, but then when we are at the school he totally ignores them half the time. WHY??  He says he wants to clean, but then when I do things like pack up the winter clothes (finally in JUNE) he just pulls them all out and throws them on the floor. WHY?? He is so curious and demanding, and funny, and exasperating. I just can not understand the mind of a 2 year old boy!! I have attached a video of Josh as the class clown of MH Guest's fifth grade. We are at the graduation picnic and Josh is spraying all the kids while they try and get a drink! God bless parents everywhere!!

Where have we been????

You may have had a fleeting thought like "hmmm haven't seen a blog post about Josh lately" or "wonder what tricks Josh has been up to?' WELL, let me tell you.  Our computer was down so that is why you have not seen a Josh post recently! That being said, it does not mean that Josh hasn't been busy. So I will try to give a quick overview. Josh LOVES summer time. He begs daily to go out in the sprinkler. Just today we went out to enjoy a little water refreshment. I went to take off the spay nozzle and put on the sprinkler for him. Well this angered him, so I left it how it was. So he watered my tree, my flowers, my son, and my me. Wonderful. He has fallen in love with the "Veggie tales" and will sit in his little chair and watch them. It is very cute! He asks to watch "tales." He wants a haircut ( which I refuse to give him) If you have seen his beautiful curly hair and are a mom , you will understand why I just can not do this. A quick recap of Josh's wonderful activities include, emptying an entire bottle of shampoo in the tub so the shower made many bubbles, hiding in the dryer, refusing to sit in his car seat, ( because he wants to drive), pushing the big kids into the pool, and being a royal pain at the grocery store. Josh goes many places and has a wonderful memory. For example, if  I pull  up at Target, he remembers that his aunt took him there and will tell me about it. EVERY TIME.  He also remembers at Meijers that I ran over a tomato in the parking lot and tells everyone he sees every time we go there. He is spoiled with food and candy by the school secretary and is adored by all the kids in Briana's class. He is smart, determined, fun, and a blessing. With that out of the way I can also say he is bossy, whiny, defiant, and into everything. I missed you all! I promise there will be many Josh updates to follow! Good night and God bless
