Oh my gosh, Summer is almost over.....

and I have almost nary a Josh post. This does not mean that he has settled down. Not by a long shot. We have been busy and I haven't blogged. So here is a recap of some fun Josh torturing mom over the Summer laughs for you. This Summer Josh has wasted 2 bottles of body wash by using them for bubble bath while I get my makeup on. I don't realise it until I can smell it, by then it is too late to save it. He refuses to wear clothes and has spent almost the entire Summer running around in his diaper, much to Jeff's chagrin. I figure he's little, why can't he play in a diaper in the yard? We live on a cul-de-sac. ( A little too Gretchen Wilson Redneck Woman for him) He went to the zoo and was excited to report that his favorite thing was watching the penguins eat and climb on the penguin waiter. (Not sure what the guy who brings the fish is called, but I think waiter will suffice.) We went camping and he slept in the tent. He spent the whole second day barefoot. Walked ALL over that campground with no shoes. I couldn't believe it, wood chips, rocks, everywhere! CRAZY. He dumped out the cinnamon all over his body (and my bed, my carpet, my hallway, my table)  and it started to heat up on his skin, so into the bath he went. He of course has wasted a whole bottle of coffee creamer, the BIG one too! UGH. He is still in love with Kara and told his sister she can not look at Kara's picture. We enjoyed some time with Kara this Summer and that brought him great joy. Today he talked to his betrothed Lilly. He yelled into the phone "I LOVE YOU! YOU'RE AWESOME! I LOVE YOU! BYE" So cute.  He has spent time bothering the kids and their friends. They want to hang out alone and he wants to be included. This stressed me out! Speaking of stress, at church Sunday Josh told his nursery care worker that he "was so stressed out" and he went and hid in the playhouse. Wonder where he got that statement from? He has about a million toy truck and cars and wants to take them everywhere we go. He has cut holes in the screens, jumped out the door wall and run off, chased Ian down the street when Ian tries to go on a bike ride, alternately told the kids, Jeff, and friends from church of all ages that he hates them and loves them. Insists on going into our church memorial garden after church and getting wet in the fountain. After Vacation Bible School one day, Brianna's friend was trying to wash out a kiddie pool they had filled with bubbles and proceeded to squirt the poor girl until she was dripping and catching other parents and kids unaware as they walked to their cars. We tried to canoe at camp and I got scared ( I am not a canoer) and I jumped out and pulled the canoe to shore. Ian ran for help and Josh ran 200 yards away to the playground, where 2 teenagers and a little girl were. Mind you we were an hour from home and we don't know these people. Thankfully they were kind and pushed him on the merry go round. Needless to say when asked what he liked about camp he replied "NOT CANOEING!" He has had some fun play dates with his best friend and did a service project packing lunches with our church youth group for the homeless. Unfortunately once he packed the lunch he assumed it was for him and spent 20  minutes crying and running around looking for it. He has gotten taller and cuter, if that is possible. I pray that you have all had a blessed Summer and we will see you soon! Happy September!
