Little kids have plenty to say about the world around them and my Josh is no exception. Having a 12 year old sister and an 11 year old brother gives him a great (and sometime inappropriate) vocabulary. The other day Josh told me, "I don't want to kiss girls" "That's ok you don't have to" I replied. He then proceeds to say "I like to kiss girls when they get pretty, but when they get fat I won't kiss them anymore." Why is my 3 year old worried about kissing girls, I know kids grow up fast, but this is a bit much for me! If he doesn't get his way lately his response is "FINE! be a jerk then". This is courtesy of his older siblings. I try and tell them Josh sees and hears everything you do, but being human we all say stuff that we cringe hearing from Josh's mouth. He yelled out the front window at my neighbor who was weed whipping his yard "HEY GUY, can you keep it down please?" I appreciate the please! We were walking home from the mailbox and were holding hands. josh kissed my arm and said "I kissed you." I know you did, you give good kisses." "Yup I do" he answers. Glad he has confidence. He wants to have some of my coffee each day so he can "stay short" I have begun to realize he uses what I say against me! I tell him no coffee because he won't grow big and he then says it's ok, he wants to be short! I told him if he uses the potty he can go to school. MISTAKE. He doesn't want to go to school, so we have a conversation like this: "Josh do you want to use the potty?" "NO, I don't want to go to school!" OH NO Epic fail on my part. He now equates the two and I fear he will never use the potty! He is so cute at the dinner table, "So Dad, How was your day?" I am happy that he asks others about their day and will then tell something of his own day. I guess we are doing a couple things right! So I better keep chugging along at this job of mommy! Blessings and love to you all!
