Josh has a mind of his own.

I should start by saying, I LOVE JOSH. Now that being said, he has been testing my patience lately. He has been screaming. A LOT. It is that high pitched screech of the yet unseen Chupacabra and it can shatter the ear drum. Yesterday he spilled some chex mix on the floor, so we got out the vacuum and he vacuumed it up. What a good boy, until he then took his chili he was eating and poured that on the carpet so he could vacuum it! He of course loves his bath so every time he eats, he tries to make the biggest mess possible, like his yogurt yesterday. He had it in his hair and all over his face, so he got his bath. Maybe I should just feed him naked and hose him off in the sink after? I mopped the kitchen floor yesterday and he got a syrup bottle, I had pulled out so I could get something behind it and he pured it all over my clean floor. I looked away for 30 seconds!!!!!! He brought me a raw egg from the fridge and told me to "cook it." It is really hard to have a boss who is 2 years old. I gotta figure out how to turn the tide of power around here.He likes to have lotion put on him, so I do, but he then rubs it all in his clean hair from the bath he just got out of! He wants to eat ALL day long. He has a meal and 10 minutes later he is in the fridge looking for something to eat. He must have the greatest metabolism in the world! He has started talking in his sleep. The other morning while sleeping, he called out for some donuts!!! Then last night I laid him down asleep and a few minutes later he said "stop it mom" over and over. Great, now I annoy my kids while they sleep! He enjoys shaving his face, playing outside and pretending to be Godzilla! (notice how he is standing on a "village" in the pic!) Until the next episode, God bless!

JOSH PLEASE!!!!!

Today Josh has been making me CRAZY!!!! He is like the Tasmanian devil. I bought yogurt at the store today and as you know he gets into the fridge, so he has opened 5 yogurts today! He has been getting the sour cream out and trying to eat it. Somehow he got a tube of toothpaste and a knitting needle and stuck the knitting needle into the tube of toothpaste. We took it away from him, but he got it again and got toothpaste on the carpet and on the vacuum. Ian has a friend over and Josh has been screaming the boys name. I try to tell him that the boy is here  to play with Ian, but Josh is having none of that. He tries to eat the hot dogs that are still in the package.Has pulled all the wipes out of the container.Took his slushie out of the cup and tossed it on his train table. Pretended to be doing the dishes and emptied half a bottle of dish soap into the sink. Josh got some new music Cd's, but thinks he is totally in charge of the radio, so if a song on his CD ends or I change the radio station, he will YELL at me to go back to "other song" It is very uncool. He opens every box of cereal I buy, yet hardly ever eats the cereal I give him for breakfast. He purposely gets into things and gets dirty thinking he will then get to take a bath. He wore mascara to bible study the other day. (on his forehead)  Climbs into the front of the car and pretends to drive. Yells at me to "go" if I am sitting at a red light and hollers with excitement when Jeff is rapidly accelerating. Josh thinks he is in a Nascar car and loves it. I do not. He steals the ice from my water glass, always wants to wash dishes and vacuum, but WILL NOT pick up his toys and put them away. He opens the fridge and then stares into it and after a while will walk away and leave it open. He has been screaming A LOT lately and so I am thinking I will invest in a good pair of earplugs. Until next time, good night and God bless. Below you will see the pics of Josh covered in lip gloss that he got into yesterday!

Well now he's 2!

Last week Josh turned 2. he had a wonderful birthday party and his favorite toy is a truck that dances and plays "everybody dance now." He has moved from only wanting eggs to eat to now mostly wanting hamburgers to eat! The joys of toddler's meals! Josh got to help with the talent show at the kids school for the third year in a row. He did pretty good, since it required him to spend a LOT of time strapped in his stroller in the library at school He enjoyed watching the dress rehearsals but by the time our show rolled around, he had seen it enough, soooo he spent the show running the hallways of the school. Pulling a wagon around, eating pizza and finally crashing out in his stroller, (we were at school from 9 to 4) He did help clean up after lunch by getting the industrial push broom and sweeping the halls with it! Josh sent the 5th graders (including Brianna and Kara) off to camp. Upon their return at a lunch date with some kids a nd parents, Josh helped himself to food off of Erich's plate (Brianna's classmate, who had requested to hide Josh in his bag and take him to camp) Erich was very gracious and allowed Josh to eat his pancakes and bacon.  Josh loves to be outside (which would be fine if the ground wasn't saturated) He loves to talk on the phone and tell people about his day. He also likes to pretend to leave messages for people. Especially Ian's friend Eli. He is always calling Eli, the other day he "left him a message" saying "SUP? call me call me" It was funny. He seems to have a fascination for Eli although I don't know why. I think he spends so much time with Eli, Kara, and Savannah that he thinks they are part of his family. I like that a lot! He has been enjoying filling a bowl with water and washing the cabinets, it is so cute. He love his cousin Jilly, they are only 6 months apart and have a great time together. I am so blessed with wonderful nieces and nephews! Josh wants a pet badly! If he sees a dog on TV he will cry and say "want it" "mine" There are geese in our yard and he wants them as a pet!  He tries to look outside at them all time. He has discovered a new trick. We tell Josh the things that are ours, like the xbox, we tell him not to touch because it isn't his and is daddy's. So this led Josh to now get things, like my yogurt from the fridge, bring it to me half eaten and say "Josh's?" He thinks if he says it is Josh's then he is free to have it. I am enjoying all that he is saying and doing (for the most part) and am waiting to see what he will do next. Enjoy your weekend. God bless!
